The Exchange Club of Muncie 

 

The Exchange Club of Muncie will award a $1,000 Bishop Scholarship to an outstanding 2007 graduate of a Delaware County High School who will attend Ball State University next fall.

*The students must rank in the upper 25% of her/his graduating class. 

*The application will consist of a letter from the student to the Exchange Club Scholarship Committee. The letter must answer each of the following questions:

    1. What volunteer service activities do you perform that benefit the community.

    2. What Academic honors have you received in high school?

    3. What are your special academic interest?

    4. What are your career plans following graduation from Ball State?

    6. What is your family's financial situation that makes this assistance necessary?

Application information and instructions are available in the guidance office. Application and all supporting materials must reach the Muncie Exchange Club Scholarship Committee by June 1, 2007.

Lisa Gibson Schmidt Memorial Scholarship

 

Lisa Gibson Schmidt, a graduate of Wapahani, lost her life to cancer a few years ago. Lisa was a most successful and vibrant student during her days at Wapahani. She demonstrated a dynamic and contagious vitality to all she met and was truly an extraordinary young woman. This award will be made to a senior girl who most represents those qualities and ideals that Lisa demonstrated. 

Applicants will be evaluated with the following criteria:

* Must have a GPA of at least 2.75.

* Be an active member of extracurricular activities.

* Demonstration of high ethical and moral character.

* Demonstration of a willingness to volunteer and assist others.

* Demonstration of motivation to excel in all attempted.

* Demonstration of financial need.

Applications are available in the guidance office and must be returned to the guidance office by Monday, May 14.

Farm Credit Services of Mid-America Scholarship

 

18 Scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded to customer-members of Farm Credit, or children of customer-members. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be returned to Farm Credit Services, by May 31.

E. K. Keesling Memorial Scholarship

 

Student must live in Perry Township or be a son or daughter of a Center School Alumnus. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be returned to the guidance office by May 21. This due date has been extended.
