Mrs. Everhart's labs are designed to help students gain the skills needed to pass the Graduation Qualifying Exam (GQE). Passing the GQE is a state mandated graduation requirement. Students have 5 opportunities to pass the GQE before they graduate. Students work on lessons linked to 9th grade English Standards in LA lab and Algebra Standards in Math lab. Each assignment is kept in a binder referenced to each standard. If a student is unable to pass the GQE, they will have a binder to show which state standards they have mastered. Other factors used to determine eligibility for a waiver include attendance and grades.
Other Labs: We currently offer 2 Math Labs to support our Algebra 1 classes. These classes are taught by Mr. Luce and Mrs. Cook. We currently offer another LA Lab to support students taking English 10. Mrs. Everhart also teaches this class. Mrs. Everhart has been teaching at Wapahani High School since 2005. She is a graduate of Ball State where she cheered for three years. Mrs. Everhart is also currently working on her Masters in Administration at Ball State University. At Wapahani, she is the cheerleading coach. |
